I've always been someone who sees the glass as half empty! Irrespective of how hard I would try, the pessimist in me always got the better of things. Negativity just like over-thinking and complaining, drains one's energy and leads to immense mental and emotional stress. (Something I experienced constantly!) However, sometime last year I woke up one fine day realising that I had had enough. It was time to start seeing the bigger picture and believing that things aren't half as bad as we make them to be. Slowly and steadily I started making a conscious effort...and today things genuinely have gotten better. Of course I still have my low phases of feeling like nothing's going right but I've now learnt to have faith and dismiss any of those evil negative thoughts! Life does really go on and things do really work out the way they're meant to!
