Quite a common problem, dandruff occurs when you’ve either got an oily and sticky scalp or when there’s too much dryness in the scalp. Furthermore, an imbalanced diet and constipation could also be the reasons for a scalp full of white dandruff flakes. Using a shampoo which is not suitable for your hair or excessive use of hair products can make your hair unhealthy. Stress, fatigue, pollution and exposure to cold weather further add to the problem.

Proper diet to cure dandruff
Follow a diet that keeps your hair healthy. It is necessary to have adequate amount of fibers in your diet. Add raw vegetables and fruits to your diet and drink plenty of water. Leafy vegetables, sprouts, nuts, dry fruits and beans are also very beneficial for a healthy scalp and hair.
Preventing Dandruff
Maintaining a healthy scalp is the most important way to keep dandruff away. Sunrays are quite harsh on the scalp and thus keeping your head covered with a cap or scarf when out in the sun is a good idea. It is also important to select a shampoo which is suitable for your hair texture. Avoid combing you hair or tying them up when they are wet. It is also a good idea to practice stress reducing methods such as meditation and yoga.
Dandruff is a tricky hair problem but it is not impossible to get rid of.
