One doesn’t need to wait for any season to have this yummy dessert .
A churro is a fried-dough pastry—predominantly choux—based snack. Churros are traditional in Spain and the Portugal.
For Churros - Ingredients
100 Gms Maida
2 Eggs
50 Gms Butter
2 tbsp Castor Sugar
pinch of salt
11/2 cup Water
In a plate combine 1 cup castor sugar with 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
Oil for frying
Method - to make the dough
- Heat a saucepan over medium flame. Add water and butter . Allow butter to melt.
- Add sugar and pinch of salt . Keep stirring . When the mixture starts to boil , remove it from the heat and slowly add the flour and stir briskly with a wooden spoon till well mixed .
- Now add one egg at a time and incorporate everything properly . Again repeat it with the next egg . Dough should look soft and glossy .
- Scoop the dough into a piping bag with a star nozzle . Heat oil in a large pan. When hot, carefully pipe the dough into the oil ( into long strips of 5inch )
- Fry until golden brown . Remove churros on absorbent paper. Roll it in sugar and cinnamon mixture . Serve with chocolate ganache .
For the ganache -
1 cup Amul fresh cream
1 cup chopped cooking chocolate
Method
- In a small heavy bottom saucepan add cream and allow it to boil on a adlow fire .
- add chopped chocolate and let it sit for 2 minutes . Stir it and dissolve the remaining pieces of any .
chocolate ganache is ready . Serve warm .
