We were not much But our mouths They were everything. Our hearts would never Beat together But our lips synced Lie the moon and waves It was not much Teeth, tongue and hollow caves. And your taste, It would take my words hostage. Your bleeding lips, Blowing smoke, Would dip into comatose. Your teeth with icy tips, Dug into my soft skin Involuntary sounds You made me speak gibberish. There was not much, Parched lips, Curse words Some loved, some hurt. It all made sense In our mouths It didn't feel like much It felt like everything.

It is a scheme that makes you think of things that don't make sense to your freckled skin. You take so long to speak I keep missing beats I'm weak in the knees I reek of your scentI mix vodka withAnything that's chilledMakes me think Of your tongue on mine I talk in my sleepTill I peel The colour off my wallsI pull up the sheetsAnd think of kidsAnd lullabies and dreamsWhile I skim Through your eyesI can't eat But think of your lips Touching my hipsAnd I believeYou're doing the same.
