    Himanshu Manna | 21-Sep-2019

We all have memories of our childhood, largely vivid, but I’ll tell you one memory, which will directly, sort of, work on not your brain but your heart. When our teachers taught us, let’s say a poem, they would say, “by heart this and come tomorrow”. It always used to be ‘by heart’. And we used to go home and read it ten times over. Take that poem in our hand from this corner to that, we used to sort of repeat the lines and reciting the lines and transport all the content on the page to our brain. The next day morning we used to reach school and would speak a good 8 out of 10 lines perfectly. That for us was ‘by heart’. Did we ever give it a thought of why was it called ‘by heart’? That next morning when we stood there and recited the entire poem where we got 8 out of 10 lines correctly, was it really ‘by heart’? The fact is it was ‘by mind’. We minded it. And from that day onwards till the current day, we’ve been accust

LOVE- Love is not just a four lettered word. It’s four-dimensional and much more than what is conferred. Length, width, depth and timeIt’s these dimensions that make love, sublime. Let’s talk about the life of your love now, What matters more than how long you’ve loved, is how you love. You may have been loved for a day, but if it is the love you need, it is the love that will stay! Because Love is not just a four lettered word,It’s four-dimensional and much more than what has been inferred. Width of love is broader than what is seen about loving someone. It’s about hating something about the person without hating that whole someoneGoing beyond expectations fulfilled and unfulfilled, but thriving within the boundaries of the promises of the willed. Because Love is not just a four lettered word,It’s four-dimensional and much more than what has been concurred.   Depth of love cannot be described. For some it may be deeper than the ocean, for me it is nothing but th

    ketanv | 26-Feb-2019
- Ketan S Vadhavane

I am not adrift nor am I lost  I am done wandering  But I still haven’t found that place  The stillness in me now awaits   Take me home  Take me there Show me the place  Where my soul would bare    I know not true freedom For I am chained in here  Not from now but many lifetimes  In my thoughts and mind I adhere   A wary traveller that I am Makes me even more anxious  My soul, eternal and unblemished Exactly knows where it belongs    To a place where my steps don’t stumble back in fear  But dance with leaps of joy  And sing with joyful tears    I miss my home I miss my source where only bliss and happiness flow A home with no walls of fear or anger  Is what I search with all my might alone    Take me home  Take me there I know the walk is long but It sure is worth every step   The place where all will seem serene  And joy gushes from in

Years of solitude,Short-lived euphoria.Glancing at you,The sparks in eyes turned to water drops,And I called it Panacea. My soul was your hostage,For you smoked love in the walls of my breath.Only If I could hear,Your voice,Which I named Panacea. Your departure,Bereaved me of everything that I ever owned,For you were my only wealth. And only belonging,Which I declared Panacea. Who determined our fate,No one is to be blamed.Let sleeping dogs lie,Not get emotional about goodbye. My Sun, in those shady storms,I called you Panacea.

  • A Walk to Remember
    Digvita Shah | 23-Sep-2018
Yesteryears hand held for the first time to holding the hand with sonsome else today! Years of living with them as mains; priority swaps at a snap of a finger! Learning to take baby steps with them to walking down the aisle with someone else beside! Falling and standing up at that place called home; is it a feeling of falling apart for a new home? The smiling faces when you cried for the first time ever to them crying today when you try holding back yours! Was I living for this day or living by this day! Ever wondered to ask; how emerging of the cacoon felt? Moments of treasure; A walk to remember!

  • •	The Traditional Vs The Modern Aspect of Literature
    Ankita Kulkarni | 23-Jul-2018
The era of the most famous authors from Britain such as William Shakespeare, Wordsworth and the Bronte sisters was considered to be the most traditional and classical age of English literature. During this era, the writers would be seen sitting on a faraway hill along a flowing river, looking at the blooming flower or the birds singing softly in the trees, which would inspire and motivate them to come up with sonnets or poems. Others would have experienced such severe traumas in their life that their grief would be expressed through their writings. Social pressures, political feudsand deaths would play a major role in igniting the inner flames of expressions of these writers. Their excerpts would have such deep meanings and soulful words that even after centuries, their works would have an extensive impact on the entire world. Their writings expressed feelings with profound vividness and emotion which created freedom of expression. One of Shakespeare’s most famous dialogue from his play Merchant of Venice, “I

It fell from her eyes, And against her skin She felt it, As she rubbed it from her cheek.   She knew not what it was Her anger, pain or rage But she decided to go along With what was in her heart.   But she knew that one thing Her memories, now afresh That it channelled these memories And their emotions, next.   Now with quite a stable mind, All her confusion gone She knew what a tear was, Her will to fight ahead.     -          Aarya Shah

  • Ghost Memories
    Ankita Kulkarni | 18-Jun-2018
They lurk Like the red eyed monsters At the back of our minds Ready to cast a shadow Like a grey cloud Of fear and doubt They are the ghosts Lurking in the attics Of our minds Born through the power Of bad experiences and mistrust Ready to taint The happy memories With their darkness To make you fear Their very existence To never allow you To enjoy the good Withough felling their shadows Cast upon your mind Why, O Why Can you not disappear In a whisp of smoke Allowing me to bask In the true happiness Of my new memories Why, O Why Won't you allow me To forget the darkness That tries To rear its head Every time I wish To make new memories Why, O Why Must you drive me To words and acts That I will regret From time to time For I know that memories Are the true ghosts Of our lives

  • THINGS TO DO AFTER DECLARATION OF RESULTS
    Madhura Bilimogga | 05-Jun-2018
It is that time of the year when young students of 10th and 12th will get to know their results. It is that time of the year when, even people, who rarely talk to you will be curious to know  about your results. I know how it feels. But don’t let anyone’s reactions affect you. I was scared when I was eagerly waiting for my 10th std results. I wasn’t really happy.I scored 78.67% in 10th std. I wasn’t happy. Because at the back of my mind, I knew that I hadn’t given my best. But then again I also knew that there is no point in regretting now. Before the results were declared, I decided to do follow some things to take the right decision for myself.  As you still have time for admission process to begin ,make sure you read and implement this. Here’s what I did:1. Take a deep breath. Be calm. The scores are surely important for getting into good colleges but not at the cost of harming your self-esteem. It is okay if you haven’t scored the kind of marks you had ex

Those glaring stars of the night, Those reluctant sighs of the immense sky That entourage of those tides Resting along the shoreline, We impressions of a tale, Imploring for inception, with the missing protagonist - one who made, that walk indelible, from the evening, that was drafted on white fabric, of my heart, yesterday
